Blake's Orchard and Cider Mill

Description: You pick fruits and vegetables. Christmas trees, cider, candy apples and fudge making. Bakery, farm market goodies, crafts, train rides, hayrides, animal farm, pony rides, Pumpkin Land adventures, corn stalk maze, haunted village, bonfire, hayrides, gift baskets, company picnics and school tours.

Coon Creek Orchard and Cider Mill

Description: Fall weekend festival with live entertainment, hayrides, pig roast, orchard tours, storytelling tours with Laughing Cloud. Farm animals and farm market with fresh fruit, jam, honey, cider, and more. Call for crop information.
Other fruit: U-pick strawberries, sweet cherries, u-pick tart cherries, black raspberries, u-pick red raspberries, apricots, plums, u-pick peaches, nectarines, blackberries, u-pick apples and u-pick pumpkins.

Description: See cider being made. Weekend wagon rides to pick your own apples. One of the top 10 ciders in the State cider contest.

Description: Apples. At our store we bake donuts, pies, muffins, fresh everyday, and have our own cider mill. Vegetables in season. We also have a picnic area with stationary train cars and tables which you can sit on when enjoying donuts and cider!

Westview Orchards & Cider Mill

Description: Westview Orchards is the 3rd oldest sesquicentennial family farm in Michigan and the oldest in Macomb county, having been in continuous operation by the same family since 1813. The orchard is owned and operated by the 5th and 6th generation.
Farm Market: Offers farm-grown cherries, peaches, apples, pears, plums, supersweet sweet corn, pumpkins, winter cabbage, honey, jams, jellies maple syrup and more. Farm-baked fresh one-of-a-kind fruit donuts, 10" deep dish pies, breads, cookies, and 'NEW' Fruit Flips - apple, cherry, peach. Apple gift boxes (shipped) and baskets for holiday gift-giving. Open: 7 days a week 8 - 6, from July (cherry season) through December 24th.
U-Pick: Cherries late June through mid-July, 7 days a week, 8 - 6. Apples Labor Day weekend through Halloween, weekends only, 10 - 6. Pumpkins late September-October, weekends only, 10 - 6.
Modern Cider Mill: in 1850 barn, using strictly hand-picked apples from trees, watch the meticulous process fall weekends 10 - 6. Open Labor Day Weekend through November 7th, 10 - 6 daily.

  1. I've been going to Miller's Big Red for over 15 years... it's easily our favorite! We love the huge variety of apples (& other produce), friendly staff, & quality food.

  2. I'm in Oakland County so I vote for Yates Cider Mill for number one in Rochester MI 1990 East Avon Road Rochester 48307. :)

  3. We're from Ontario but do TONS of cross-border shopping. Last year was our first year to go to a cider mill and we went to Ruby's up by Port Huron. It was a lovely afternoon for our family but very disappointing in that they didn't actually have apples to pick or for sale. That's why I suggested this post because I'd like to hear all about the other's in the area.
