Leave a Comment..If You Can!

I've now learned that the error associated with leaving comments on Blogger blogs is a widespread issue that many bloggers have been dealing with since May. It seems to be more common with readers who use Internet Explorer. Blogger is attempting to deal with the issue. We hope.

I made one suggested change to repair the problem, but I can't be sure it worked. IF you receive an error message when trying to post a comment next time, please try one of these solutions:

• Use the BACK button and attempt to post again
• Click the REFRESH button and attempt to post again
• Disable your POP-UP BLOCKER and attempt to post again

Keep in mind that comments are moderated and will not appear until I approve them. You will most likely not see them for a while after you submit - but that doesn't mean that the comment didn't get through!

Admittedly, blogging can get lonely at times. It's almost like speaking to a wall! We can all benefit from your comments and I hope to hear from all of you soon!

Prices can vary between store locations, along with selection (which is a little more sparse at the Sterling Heights store). Home Depot: 10" Hanging Baskets for $5

I went to Randazzo's at 16 and Garfield today in search of their cheap hanging baskets. They have no flowers left at all.

On the way home I stopped at Home Depot at 16/Van Dyke and all of their 10" hanging baskets are on sale. I forget the exact price, but they weren't more than $5 each. I just thought I would share in case I wasn't the only one looking for cheap flowers.

Power Restored - We're Up and Running!

We were so thankful to have our power restored tonight! The electricity was only gone for 52 hours, but that was long enough to take a huge chunk out of our refrigerated and frozen food items. My 5-year-old is still mourning the loss of 4 Breyer's Ice Cream and 2 boxes of M&M Ice Cream Sandwiches. Of course, this forced freezer defrost gives me a good opportunity to thoroughly clean my refrigerator and freezer - while it's completely empty! We'll definitely be on the lookout for items to replace what we've lost!

You can buy:

2 bags of Dole Iceberg Salad, on sale this week for $0.75 each

$1.50 worth (priced $2.19/lb) of ground beef (from the meat counter)

Pay $3.00, get a $3.00 coupon good on your next order!

If you prefer, there are more expensive cuts of meat available (steaks, roasts, etc); the ground beef (comparable to ground round) may be your least expensive option since you can control the amount a little more easily!

Some stores have a Meijer Healthy Living Naturally booklet available in the store near the seafood/meat department (or near the ads in the front of the store). It includes a $1.50/2 Dole Salad Blends coupon that would make your salad FREE!

You should be able to "roll" the $3 checkout coupon by using it to purchase another 2 salads and beef!
