Worth Reading: How to Handle Coupon Rejection

Heather from Freebies 4 Mom has a great post on what to do when you're confronted at the register. If you're a couponer, this WILL happen to you at some point in your shopping journey. Being prepared with a response can help you keep your cool.

Just out of curiosity, what do YOU do or say when your coupon is refused?

  1. I had a coupon that wouldn't scan at Oakridge last week, but it worked fine at Meijer. I called the general manager to tell him that their scanners are old, so it isn't MY fault if my blurry inkjet-created barcode wouldn't scan, and he told me in the future if that happens, to tell the manager he said it was OK to accept it anyway. I always try to contact someone higher up if I have problems at store level. Hopefully they will believe me if I have this happen again.
