Do you know if I can freeze the cream cheese?
ReplyDeleteNo you cannot freeze cream cheese by itself. If you do, it will separate & be gross. I have frozen it in baked goods (cheesecake, brownies, etc) without any issue.

We've done the Meijer Ticket Zone many times. Usually we get Pistons tickets (not the closest seats, but they're free!) or Harlem Globetrotters tickets. If you like watching the Pistons (even when they're not playing the best), then it's worth your time. We'll be seeing the game tonight thanks to Meijer - and we'll pay $10 for Palace parking to cover our night.
ReplyDeleteI freeze the bricks of cream cheese. They do seperate some when thawed, but since I mostly use them mixed in with other things I don't find it to be a bid deal. If you want to have a nice looking brick of cream cheese on a plate, definatly stick to fresh.

ReplyDeleteEasy answer? NO. :( Meijer intentionally advertises very few of them, in my opinion. And Catalina Marketing doesn't publish them either. The best we can do is track the Catalina ads that print after our orders.
ReplyDeleteI have a copy of the Pillsbury Catalina ad (it printed an ad for me this morning). If I had a scanner, I could scan and send it to you. It IS still valid, though. When they won't honor it, I usually return the items.

#2 4 Grands and 2 sweet rolls and 4 chi chi's salsa (used 3 $1/2, 2 $1/2 for the salsa the $5 cat on this and received the $4 cat)
#3 6 cream cheeses (I will freeze the blocks, I never have a prolem using them in dishes), 1 roll of mints. (used 2 Meijer meal box and 3 $1/2 manf. coupons and the $4 cat). Received the $5 cat.
My total out of pocket was $6.03 and I still have that $5 cat. to spend.
Total savings $40 :)

Johnsonville Brats and It. Sausage! On sale for 2/$5. There are plenty of coupons out there for them, matched with the Meijer Mealbox $1 coupon, makes for a steal! I just used came home with a bunch of yummy sausages! $1 a package!

I told them they couldn't keep me from Meijer this morning! I spent $22 on $200 of groceries, have $10 CATs left, AND a $10 rebate!!! Net $2 for $200 in groceries! Aggh!
ReplyDeleteHi Just went to Meijer. I had 2 save $2/1 and 1 $4/2 on the Rice Select Organic Rice Mix. The cashier 'let me use the 2 $2 ones but wouldn't let me use the $4/2. He said 'we' can't give you something for nothing. I said, why did you let me use the $2 coupons. He said he would "let it go this time". I didn't think it was the store's coupon policy. I didn't have it with me so I had him take off 2 rices and toke the coupon. Regardless, I still saved $32 and spent $12. Not too bad.

ReplyDeleteI also wanted to point out the Johnsonville brats/sausage deal - on sale $2/5, there is a MMB Q for $1/1. There were Qs a while back $1/2, and I also had a $.55/1 printable from somewhere... but I was pleasantly surprised to find $.50/1 peelies on the packages this morning (double to $1 at my store - I'm north in Bay City). So, total I paid $0.50 a package (reg. 3.99). These freeze well, and I really like the turkey ones - they only have 110 calories and are a healthy substitute for hot dogs! I need to print out a few more MMQ and head back.

ReplyDeleteI had a catalina jam on me when doing my crescent rolls and cheese transaction on Sunday...I went to customer service and they returned the items and the resold them to me...my store in Fraser has a catalina printer hooked to one of their registers. Made it much easier than having to stand in line to repurchase...and the ladies were extremely sweet about it!
