View this week's complete Kroger Ad.

* Macomb area Kroger stores currently double coupons up to $0.50. However, as of October 2009, only 3 manufacturer's coupons will be doubled per like items purchased.

You WILL need a Kroger card to take advantage of these offers; sign up for one at the Customer Service desk if you do not have one!

Take your own bags to Kroger and you'll receive a credit for $0.05 per bag used on your shopping order. You may need to remind your cashier to deduct your credit, however, as the computer will not do it automatically!

Load e-coupons to your Kroger card before you shop: visit Cellfire, Shortcuts and Kroger Digital Coupons. Each website lists the e-coupons that can be loaded onto your Kroger Card so that you can save even more! E-coupons are limited to one use per card and will not double.

Select Kroger stores north of Macomb (Grand Blanc, Flint, Frankenmuth and more - view a full list here) will double manufacturer's coupons up to $1.00! This can mean a great savings (and some potential free items each week). If your travels happen to take you north, check the Kroger ad (search by zip code) for the areas you're passing through. You just might want to pack your coupons, too!

Please let me know if you find any good deals I've missed!

This post is a proud part of Be Centsable's Grocery Gathering. Visit the Grocery Gathering for a HUGE free listing of national and local store matchups from around the country, including CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Target, Walmart and more!

US Consumer Product Safety Commission - Subscribe to Product Recall Alerts

As your house is now full of new toys, gifts and goodies, it's a good time to think about your family's safety! My friend Jennifer recommended that I subscribe to online notices of CPSC recalls and I'm so glad she did. Over the past couple years, a few of the products we own have been recalled for various reasons - and I only knew about it because I signed up to receive these notices. It's often surprising to see which products have been recalled - and why.

You can SIGN UP HERE for CPSC email alerts - and specify which notices you'd like to receive (all alerts, infant/child products, sports/recreation, outdoors, household products, specialty products, etc).

GFS: Free Thermal Tote or $10 Gift Card (Dec 26 only)

Through TODAY ONLY (Dec 26), you'll be entered to win a thermal tote bag or $10 gift card from Gordon Food Service when you register HERE. Thanks, The Sharp Scissors Lady!

*DOUBLE COUPONS - This deal requires a coupon to DOUBLE at Meijer. Note that most Macomb-area Meijer stores will double only 2 identical coupons (up to $0.50) per transaction. See additional notes below.

**MEIJER MEALBOX STORE COUPONS - You may want to print a copy of the Meijer Mealbox store policy, as posted here on the Mealbox Website and keep it with your shopping list to show your cashier (in case they aren't familiar with corporate policy):

1.) Mealbox coupons may be used in addition to Manufacturer coupons.

2.) Mealbox coupons may be used each time a condition is met, which could be multiple times per transaction. (For example: a coupon for $1.00 off 2 soups can be used multiple times if you have a coupon printed and the number of soups purchased matches, i.e. 2 coupons = 4 soups.)

3.) Mealbox coupons cannot be doubled or tripled at any time.

4.) Stores have the right to limit the quantity of items to normal retail purchases per transaction.

View the Meijer Ad online here (available on Sunday).

Other Reminders:

• MOST Macomb Meijer stores will double manufacturer coupons up to $0.50, but no more than 2 identical coupons per transaction. Additional identical coupons and store coupons will be redeemed at face value. You may want to call your location before shopping to verify. The Clinton Township location on Groesbeck will double only ONE identical $0.50 or less coupon per transaction. For best savings on multiple items with coupons that will double, divide your order into multiple transactions (this is most easily done at the U-scan).

• You can print 2 copies of each printable coupon per computer, with some exceptions. Use your back button and refresh the screen if necessary or return to the original coupon link. You can print as many Meijer Mealbox coupons as you'd like.

• When a particular sale item is out of stock, be sure to ask your cashier or a customer service assistant for a raincheck.
