Our Bathroom Makeover Revealed!

Forgive me for this off-topic post...

Some of you may recall that we began a rather large bathroom remodeling project this August. Our very blue, very tiled bathroom was showing its age and the shower tiles were bowing out from the walls. We understood the seriousness of the issue last summer and saved enough money for a complete remodel this summer. Not having any experience in construction (and understanding that our bathroom had a great many issues due to the previous owner's do-it-yourself mentality), we were thankful to find a trustworthy builder to do the work.

We were able to finish the project in a month's time (which included 2 weeks of delays waiting for cabinets and countertop to arrive) and on budget. I hope to be able to share some of what we learned along the way soon - especially a few budget-conscious tips for tackling similar home-improvement projects!

Our 50-year-old blue bathroom, pre-demolition (there's tile everywhere!)

After demolition day (this was admittedly a little scary to see!)

Our new bathroom - all finished!

Thanks to D & M Residential Services for a job very well-done! We're very happy with the end result. Thanks to those of you who shared your tile opinion! Though you can't see it in the picture, we ended up choosing Tile #2 because it brought the white and tan in the room together. Now to save up for our next project....
